STORY
The WAOF team hold the pristine waters and rugged coastline of Western Australia close to their hearts. A healthy ocean is integral to the future of us all!
We founded WAOF on an underlying principle that building collaborative partnerships and working with a global, committed and informed community are key drivers for deepening our understanding of our ocean and enabling us to drive positive change where necessary. We are very grateful for the support of our Advisors and those who choose to support us in our mission.
Approach
We are committed to recommending, facilitating and implementing informed courses of action. We use the frameworks proposed by the Global Oceans Commission and the Ocean Health Index to guide our thinking on what factors could drive a decline or recovery in Western Australia’s ocean. Our first step is to better understand the condition of our ocean through our ocean health assessment project.
